Currently, the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia is escalating. Russia’s attack on Ukraine is inhumane and protests and boycotts are taking place in many places.
Just a few days ago, Google shut down live traffic tools in several Ukrainian cities in support of Ukraine. The BBC also reported that Apple had stopped selling its products in Russia since Wednesday.
iPhone maker Apple Corps has said in a statement that it was “concerned” about the Russian attack and called for an end to the violence. ExxonMobil, another energy company besides Apple, has also announced that it will stop investing in and operating in Russia.
In addition, services such as Apple Pay and Apple Map are limited in Russia. Google has also removed Russian state-aided media RT from its feature.
According to information agency RIEA, an app like Russia’s BTB Bank will no longer run in Russian on the iOS operating system. Like Google, Apple has stopped traffic and live incidents to protect Ukrainian citizens.
