
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold direct talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky.
According to a government source, during a phone conversation between Putin and Modi on Monday, Modi suggested that Putin talk to Jelensky directly and resolve the issue.
During the talks, Putin briefed Modi on the status of the agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
Before talking to Putin, Modi also had a phone conversation with Zelensky.
Expressing gratitude to his citizens for helping him to end the war, Modi pledged to hold high-level peaceful talks with Russia, Jelensky wrote on his Twitter account.
